Teaching the Alphabet with Coloring Pages: A Letter a Day
Updated October 29, 2026
Children learn letters by seeing them, saying them and making them with their hands. A coloring page does all three in ten minutes.
The ten-minute routine
- Trace the big letter with a finger, saying its sound.
- Color it in. Talk about the word: B is for Bear. What else starts with B?
- Trace the grey letters with a pencil, top line to base line.
- Hang it up. By Z you have a whole alphabet wall.
๐ก Make it personal: B is for Bella, M is for Mom. Changing the word in the maker takes a second and is free.
